Barbara D. Feasenhiser Obituary Tallahassee, FL Death: Beloved Resident has Died

Barbara D. Feasenhiser, 84, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the devoted wife of Charles R. Feasenhiser, whom she married on October 17, 1987.

Born on November 14, 1941, at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, New York, Barbara was the daughter of the late Ernest and Irene Gregg. She moved to Florida in 1972 and built a long and dedicated career as a cashier at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where she worked for 37 years before retiring in 2020.

Barbara will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother who always placed her family at the center of her life. Her kindness, generosity, and selfless nature defined her, and she took great pride in caring for those she loved. She touched many lives through her warmth and unwavering support.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughter Rebecca Mauck (Robert) of Quincy, Florida; her son Timothy VanDewark of Cocoa, Florida; and her daughter Tanya Williams (John) of Hosford, Florida. She also leaves behind six grandchildren—Bryan VanDewark (Holly), Brenna Baker (Kyle), Cheyenne Jones, Talen VanDewark, Jessica Smith (Bo), and Dakota Jones—as well as three great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters Annette Shafer and Brenda Iraca; her brother Dennis Gregg; her daughter Deborah VanDewark Jones; and her great-grandson Carter Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 23, at Lind Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jay Baehr. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA. Condolences may be shared online with the family.
